Welcome to Meraki Vocal Training
Meraki is a Greek word meaning to do something with soul, creativity and love, leaving a piece of yourself in your work. That is exactly what we do here.
Meraki Vocal Training is a professional online vocal academy founded by acclaimed reggae vocalist, songwriter and performer Sabrina Diva, The Reggae Empress. With over two decades of professional experience including Grammy-nominated collaborations and mentorship under legendary producers Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, Sabrina brings world class expertise to every session.
Whether you are a complete beginner discovering your voice for the first time or an experienced performer ready to elevate your artistry, Meraki Vocal Training is your space to grow. Vocal styles taught include reggae, RnB, pop, soul, gospel and Caribbean music. All voices, all levels and all styles are welcome. Sessions are conducted online via Zoom making Meraki Vocal Training accessible to students across the UK, US, Canada, the Caribbean and beyond.

What Is Included In Every Programme

🎤 Free Introductory Group Session
Before your programme begins join Sabrina and fellow new students for a 60 to 90 minute group introductory class. Learn what to bring, get introduced to vocal warm ups, receive guidance on choosing your song and prepare fully for your one to one sessions. Adult and youth students are welcomed into their respective groups.

📋 Personal Student File
Updated after every session with your progress notes, exercises and goals to work on between classes.

🎵 Vocal Technique Development
Tailored guidance for your voice, your goals and your chosen style throughout your programme.

🎓 The Meraki Vocal Showcase
Invited to perform at our annual online celebration event open to all current and past students.

📜 Digital Certificate of Completion
Presented to every student who completes a 6 or 12 week programme.

THE MERAKI VOCAL SHOWCASE
Our Annual Online Performance Celebration
Every year Meraki Vocal Training hosts The Meraki Vocal Showcase, our annual online performance celebration open to all current and past students. Whether you joined last month or two years ago, the Showcase is your moment to perform, be celebrated and connect with the Wider Meraki community.
Held annually in May or June, The Showcase takes place via Zoom and is hosted by Sabrina Diva herself. Students perform the song they have been developing throughout their Vocal Training sessions to an audience of fellow students, friends, family and invited industry guests. Digital certificates are presented to all students on the night.
The Showcase is free for all participating students. Friends and Family outsite the student community are welcome to attend for a small fee.
Spaces are limited. Details announced annually.

Sabrina Diva
Sabrina Diva is an acclaimed reggae vocalist, songwriter and performer with over two decades of professional experience across Jamaica and the United Kingdom. Mentored by legendary producers Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, she has contributed to Grammy-nominated albums, shared stages with Akon, Morgan Heritage and Busy Signal, and founded the sold-out annual live reggae event Reggae Pon Top.
As a vocal coach Sabrina brings the same dedication, professionalism and passion she brings to the stage. Her teaching covers reggae, RnB, pop, soul, gospel and Caribbean vocal styles, tailored entirely to the individual voice and goals of each student.
Teaching is personal to Sabrina. She began private vocal coaching as a teenager and returned to teaching during the pandemic, connecting with students across the UK and internationally. Meraki Vocal Training is the next chapter of that journey.
